New guided tours of the Senate of Canada Building (formerly the Government Conference Centre) and of West Block will begin on February 1st, 2019.
Public access to Parliament will be maintained during Centre Block’s closing through separate tours of the Senate and House of Commons. Guided tours will continue to focus on Parliament’s roles, people, history, art and architecture.
Online reservations for tours of Parliament
Today also marks the launch of a new reservation system for tours starting on February 1st. Individuals and groups can now reserve tickets online on a first-come, first-served basis. Visitors will receive electronic tickets by email after completing their reservation.
While a limited number of tickets will be available on site at the Senate of Canada Building and West Block, visitors are strongly encouraged to reserve online before arriving at Parliament.
Centre Block tour tickets will continue to be available until the end of January 2019. Following the building’s closing, ticketing operations and the bag check service will no longer be available at 90 Wellington Street.
